
LähiTapiola Asset Management Group, the asset management arm of LähiTapiola Group, has set out to achieve ambitious growth targets by the end of the decade. Trailmaker helped it develop a clear process for continuous advancement of the new growth strategy.
The company is a long-running operator in its field, who is now looking to expand its market presence significantly. According to CEO Samu Anttila the company’s vision is to grow through offering its clients the best asset management solutions based on a deep understanding of customer needs.
“We aim to be a meaningful asset manager for our clients, and to grow faster than the market in general in Finland.”
LähiTapiola Asset Management Group had already been growing steadily, but accelerating the growth means that some changes need to be done.
“We plan to increase our revenue by 50% by the end of the decade and to improve our operational efficiency. That means we have to increase the amount of assets we manage and broaden our client base”, Anttila says.

To achieve its ambitious goals, LähiTapiola Asset Management Group constructed a new strategy. Trailmaker was brought in to develop a framework for leading the strategy and to help create immediate movement.
“Strategy is a big change and executing it requires a different kind of leadership. In my experience there is always a big gap between forming a strategy and executing it. Trailmaker has, by far, the best approach I’ve ever seen to close that gap”, Anttila says.
