Trailmaker customer: Taaleri Plc refocused its strategy upon impact and renewable energy

Taaleri is striving to be a Nordic forerunner in alternative investments focusing on sustainability. The big strategic transformation requires systematic and persistent work to make the plans a reality. Trailmaker is Taaleri's strategic partner in this change.

“Taaleri made a big change in its strategy in spring 2021. The wealth management business has since then been sold and Taaleri now has a strong focus on sustainability and renewable energy”, says Robin Lindahl, CEO of Taaleri.

Taaleri has two business segments: Private AssetManagement and Strategic Investments. Private Asset Management consists of renewable energy, real estate, bioindustry and infrastructure businesses. The Strategic Investments segment includes Garantia Insurance Company Ltd. Taaleri has EUR 2.1. billion of assets under management. Taaleri Plc is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.

Strategy execution needs concrete actions

Lindahl has seen many strategy processes during his career. He has noticed that too often good strategies are put in a drawer –strategy is not used to steer focus and action in the desired direction. Good strategy is of course important, but the most important thing is the execution. 

“Execution requires systematic follow up. It also needs clear owners to all action points and that you follow them through on a systematic level, both in management team meetings and in board meetings. We need transparency and a holistic view of the agreed action. That’s how you can ensure that the strategy is moving in the right direction with the rights peed”, says Lindahl.

Trailmaker as a strategic partner speeds up the execution 

Trailmaker has been an important strategic partner for Taaleri through the whole strategic transformation. Trailmaker and Taaleri have worked together since the planning of the new strategy started.
